California State University System

Admission Criteria to Enroll in CSU
Candidates who wish to enroll in programs at CSU will have to cross-check the particular eligibility requirements of the institution they are applying to. At the same time, there are general requirements for freshmen, transfer students, graduate students, and international students who apply to any of the institutions under CSU.
Admission for Freshmen
The admission requirements for freshmen are as follows-
- Specific High School Courses with specific grades dependent on the institution and on whether the candidate is a resident or non-resident of California
- Required GPA in Math and Science Courses
- Household Income Details
- Extracurricular and Leadership Details
- Proof of Participation in Educational Programs
- ACT/SAT not required
Admission for Transfer Students
The admission requirements for transfer students are dependent on whether they are doing an upper-division or lower-division transfer. This will also be dependent on whether they are doing a CCC-Associate Degree for transfer.
Admission for Graduate Students
The admission requirements for graduate students are as follows-
- Completion of 4-year undergraduate degree/hold a baccalaureate
- Proof of Good Academic Standing
- GPA of 2.5 or above for Baccalaureate Degree

Tuition and Fee to Study at CSU
The tuition fee that candidates have to pay while studying in any of the CSU institutions will be the same since they have basic systemwide tuition. This tuition amount is based on the level of education the candidate is enrolled in and it is also based on whether the student is a resident or non-resident of California state. The basic tuition fee will not include the additional expenses and mandatory expenses that one will have to pay apart from the yearly tuition.
The fee structure based on the different levels of education will be dependent on whether the program has above or below 6 credits per semester. The estimated amounts for residents are as follows-
