Connecticut - Nutmeg State
Connecticut is a small state located on the northeast coast of the United States. With its bulk of the population being concentrated in the Western and Southern part under the New York Metropolitan Region, it is one of the most populous states bearing Hartford as its capital. Bridgeport
It is the largest city in Connecticut, located in the southwestern part. Established in 1693, the city was earlier known as Newfield, before acquiring its current name in 1800.
New Haven
It is a coastal city, located on the shore of Long Island Sound. New Haven is the second-largest city in Connecticut and is considered a part of the New York metropolitan area. The city is famous for being home to Yale University, one of the most prestigious Ivy League institutions.

- University of Bridgeport:
The University of Bridgeport is a reputable private research institution founded in 1927. This scholarship is intended to assist deserving students based on their financial needs. The criteria for the application are both merit-based and need-based.
- Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship Fund:
This type of scholarship is awarded to students seeking financial aid and must have excellent academic merit. The goal of the scholarship is to inculcate strong work ethics and leadership qualities among the students.
- Connecticut Capitol Scholarship:
Under this scholarship scheme, high school seniors are granted the ability to fund their college tuition fees. The maximum amount granted is $ 2000 per year. The applicant needs to demonstrate financial need and should have a strong academic background.
- Yale Scholarship:
This is a need-based scholarship granted to undergraduate students to provide them with sufficient funds to cover the cost of the studies.
Yale University offers three loan programs, which can be availed through the Student Financial Services Office. For international students who are not permanent residents of the US, the interest rate is from 7.7% to 8%. Students are also allowed to work 20 hours during the semester and 40 hours during the vacation period on campus. Also, based on merit there are facilities available for handsome scholarships. Thus, there is a chance to avail better education with cheaper rates and employment outlooks as well.
