Study in Florida

Florida is a located towards the southeastern part of the U.S. It is the country's eighth most populated state and Tallahassee is the state capital. The estimated population of Florida in the year 2017 was approximately 21 million. Northern Florida sees a temperate climate, 1/3rd of this state mostly has subtropical and not a tropical climate. Florida has more temperature extremities than the Caribbean islands. Summers are very humid and hot while the autumn and spring seasons are perfect. It is known as the "sunshine" state.Florida boasts approximately two hundred private colleges and the enrollments totaling nearly 150,000.

Compared to the other U.S. states, Florida comes 6th regarding international pupils pursuing their studies at any of the Florida University or college. There were about 40,000 international pupils studying in Florida back in the year 2016. The University of Florida is very popular along with other universities like the Florida International University, the University of South Florida, etc. Florida offers a vast selection of profit and non-profit schools and state universities from where one can get their degrees in various fields like aviation, law, fine arts, business, journalism and many more. Florida universities and colleges are backed by a diversified, robust economy. A lot of these subject fields are tied to the economy of the state, which has stress laid on international trade, agriculture and tourism to name some. Because of the ever-increasing international trade in Florida, a lot of colleges have created programs, which focus on international sailing, trade, business, etc.

The State University System or SUN has about eleven public institutions which offer graduate, research and undergraduate opportunities for students as well as advanced researchers. Approximately one in every ten pupils in Florida is an international student or from a foreign country. It's a state with quite a diverse population and this is where nearly 19% people living in Florida are foreign-born plus 26% of them speak a different language at home apart from English.

Tuition Fee and other Costs
The cost of studying in Florida is just a little less when compared to the cost of pursuing the same program elsewhere in some other major American states. The cost of tuition fee, e.g. at ,the Florida International University for the 2011-2012 semester was approximately $19,000 for the non-residents plus other living and boarding expenses and about $6,000 for the residents of the state plus other living and boarding expenses.

If you're a Florida resident or attending college/university in Florida, then you could apply for loans like the private student loans. You can either go for a private student loan program or a federal student loan program. It will be easier for an American citizen to get a loan for studies; however, U.S. does not grant loans to international students for studies.

Tourism is one of the biggest industries in Florida as people from all over the globe continue to flock here every year for a vacation break. Electronics and agriculture are two other very popular industries in the state. According to the latest reports, the average salary of a person in Florida is nearly $68,000 per year.
