At the University of Maryland, Electrical and Computer Engineering students are the most requested majors for employers conducting campus interviews. In fact, we hold our own ECE Career Fair, attracting 40 big name employers each year.

The Clark School of Engineering encourages students to pursue entrepreneurial ventures through programs such as Hinman CEOs, Hillman Entrepreneurs, Technology Boot Camp, as well as events like the $75K Business Plan Competition.

ECE: at Maryland offers unique and abundant opportunities for internships, cooperative learning, and full-time employment with government and industry, who come to campus to recruit ECE majors more than any other major on Maryland's campus.

MS in Mechanical Engineering: A total score greater than 1200 combined on the Verbal and Quantitative sections of the General GRE and greater than 4.5 on the Analytical Writing section For international applicants: at least a 577 (paper-based) or 233 (computer-based) or 100 (IBT) score on the TOEFL exam.

Aerospace Engineering: For Domestic applicants GRE Is not required. For International students average GRE Quant. percentile is 91% (minimum required is 85%), average GPA of admitted students is around 3.73. For PhD candidates minimum GRE percentile is 91%.and average GPA of admitted students was 3.79.
